Career Support Specialists will work with Youth of varied abilities, ages 16 to 24, to facilitate job readiness training, explore career choices, review, and discuss various jobs and requirements, current employment trends and future opportunities, financial literacy, work experiences, job search, and placement, follow up, and reporting. Some hours can be flexible.

The Specialists will work with the Employment Services Coordinator and Community Liaison to plan workshops, organize and evaluate work experiences, and providing services as a group or individual basis for participants enrolled in the program.

The right persons must have:

*strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

*good decision-making and time management skills.

*able to take direction and function as a team player or independently.

*excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

*be responsible, reliable, and flexible.

*Technology & computer proficient.

*experience working with diverse populations is a plus.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Prefer Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Education, or related field.

Additional RequirementsMust be at least 21 years of age and have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license with no suspensions for traffic infractions during the past three years. Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background checks.
